We’re dreaming of a Green Christmas

, , ,

Here at Arrunga HQ we recently installed a 5KW solar photovoltaic array to help offset some of our carbon emissions. Every bit helps, right?

And on the subject of going green, we recently polished a sample of recycled concrete provided to us by ResourceCo and we were very pleasantly surprised by the results. This is just an iPhone snap but we think you’ll agree that this looks pretty good!

As the man says: reduce, reuse, recycle!

Barossa Aquatic Centre, Tanunda

, , ,

The Arrunga team recently headed to wine country to assist with the makeover of “the Rex” Barossa Aquatic Fitness in Tanunda.

The task was a challenging one – the project required a decorative concrete surface that was easy on the eye, one that was slip-resistant for safety, and the surface had to be attractive and functional indoors and outdoors. We took some quick snaps to share:

At Arrunga we have experience in creating foot-traffic surfaces for a range of environments, from shopping centres and airports to residential homes. Our involvement ensures that issues of slip-resistance and safety are addressed from day one, and we were very happy to be able to contribute our expertise to the makeover of a facility so well-known to Tanunda locals.

Industrial Polished Concrete: Chem-Supply Warehouse

,

We recently finished work on an incredibly rewarding project: 1800m sq m of industrial polished concrete for specialty-chemical provider Chem-Supply.

Chem-Supply engaged us to provide a modern, European-style warehouse floor using our industrial Mirafloor process as an alternative to surfacing the floor in epoxy. The results, as always, speak for themselves.

From the moment that we approached Arrunga we felt comfortable with their professional service, and the quality of their work was exceptional. We would not have any reservations in recommending them to others.

Mawson Lakes footpaths: 10 years old and going strong

, ,

When chatting about our recent outdoor work for the City of Onkaparinga a lightbulb went off over our collective heads about a previous project: the Arrunga footpaths in Adelaide’s Mawson Lakes.

Ten years old – and still looking great!

Arrunga “makes good” in Coober Pedy

, , ,

We were recently engaged to perform a rescue mission of sorts in the opal capital of the world on some concrete surfaces that had gone awry at the Coober Pedy Airport. Needless to say the results were great – and we thought we’d share a little slideshow!

Polished concrete floor – private residence, Adelaide

,

Short and sweet – this is a floor we recently finished and polished to a high gloss at a private residence in Adelaide.

The floor just looked too good to not grab a quick snapshot!

Wood Tech warehouse floor transformation

The slideshow below shows a dramatic transformation. 2000 square metres of old stained concrete ground… patched, sealed, and rejuvenated by Arrunga Surface Solutions.

The tools and processes used in this project will feature prominently in upcoming Arrunga news – so stay tuned for details!

Ardex Pandomo in action

, , ,

We recently did some work on the floor of a private residence and the results were too good not to share. The photographs are of snapshot quality but the floor transformation speaks for itself.

The client desired a high-quality polished concrete surface with a salt-and-pepper finish, but the existing floor was not in good shape. The first three photos in the slideshow below show the state of the floor before we embarked on patching and crack repairs.

Following the repairs we commenced finishing using Ardex Pandomo in a shade selected by the client, followed by sanding and coating with UV-stable polyurethane.

Pandomo enables us to offer a great flooring surface in situations where the existing concrete is of low strength or has surface defects such as cracking. Pandomo’s seamless and joint-free floors give a spacious impression and the concrete feel and industrial appearance ensure a quality appearance in public areas and in private living spaces.

The transformation is amazing. Call us today on (08) 8346 0488 if you’d like to know more.
